Summertime and the livin' is easy!

Keith had a short day at work, and he didn't get off a moment too soon!
He has a nice break until next Wednesday.

Do you suppose working in the sun has cooked his brain a bit?
I can't help but wonder what Benny is thinking in this picture!

Stay cool everybody!

BADGERS?! WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' BADGERS!!!!!

So I was on my way to Helena for a funeral today but I didn't make it 2 miles from the Bushel 'n' Peck ranch.

This is what I collided with....

Keith was kind enough to take pictures of this charming fellow, I didn't have the stomach for it.

There was minor damage to my car, I just have to replace the splash guard under the wheel well.
It was scraping against the tire until I took it to a body shop, and they were kind enough to strap it in place until it is replaced.

That's why I missed the funeral today.

The Clansmen are gonna love this!

My gift to Keith for our anniversary is a kilt for working in!
This should keep him nice an cool while he works away in the summer heat.

Here's my BraveHeart, or is it Brave Fart?
wearing his new Utilikilt!

FREEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOM!

Apparently the best things in life ARE free!

All you jealous clansmen can go get your own kilt at utilikilts.com

An infestation of winged creatures!

They are absolutely EVERYWHERE!
You should see the ones I haven't unpacked yet...

Is the Bushel 'n' Peck ranch a little piece of heaven on earth?
Not quite, but it's getting there!

Corpus Christi

Sunday Keith and I traveled to the Cathedral of St. Helena
to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi.

Keith actually called it Korpus Krispy, I guess he had doughnuts on his brain. What a heathen! Poor soul!

I was invited to take up my old place in the choir, and Keith took
some great pictures as the congregation processed around the Cathedral. It's a large block!
I have always loved doing processions, be they Eucharistic, or Marian;
It freaks out the protestants!

An early anniversary present!

Keith has been busy!
As a wedding anniversary gift, he bought and planted an apple tree.
We should be seeing apples in about five years.

Here it is unwrapped and planted!
This apple tree is called a Zestar-
I've never heard of it either, but it is supposed to produce firm, crisp, sweet/tart apples.
Too bad we have to wait so long for the tree to get established and grown.

Confessions of a Copy Cat

My sister started a blog of her own, to chronicle the life of her growing family;
I thought it was so cute, and a great way to keep family and friends up to date, that I decided to do the same to show the progress of our household. Thanks to Jeni for the smashing good idea!

An Introduction to the Main Characters at the Bushel 'n' Peck

This is Checkers the blue heeler and Benny the cocker spaniel.
Benny has grown quite a bit since this picture was taken.
Tomorrow they will be going to the "SPA."

As you can see, Benny really needs a haircut!

The Humans at the Bushel 'n' Peck are myself and my Best Friend and Husband, Keith!
Say "Hi" to the nice folks, Keith!
